This full pad is ideal where you don’t want 2 pads to deal with as the sheepskin and correction is all in one. With an anatomically correct topline if follows the contours of the horse’s back and allows for a perfect fit under the saddle. The patented SPINE FREE® design ensures the spine is kept free so your horse can move well and have relief from spinal pressures.

The unique design of the Mattes Correction Pad incorporates four pockets along the spine – two front pockets and two rear pockets. Shims (12 included) fit into these pockets for a completely custom fit. POLY-FLEX® Shims are resilient, do not bottom out like foam or other materials, and allow incremental adjustments to be made easily.

The shims are 5mm thick, designed to be layered, and are easily trimmed with scissors to taper the ends and create a pressure free fit if multiple shims are necessary. You can shim the pad in one pocket, or in all four pockets, depending on the need of each particular horse. As the horse gains muscle or becomes more symmetrical you can eliminate the shims one by one and fine tune the fit accordingly.

Function – Sheepskin has long been known for its amazing natural properties including heat dissemination, breathability, and the ability to eliminate friction and bounce. This cannot be imitated by wool pile, artificial fiber product, or foam.

Mattes recommend only using their specially formulated Melp washing detergent to wash your sheepskin products as Mattes leave the lambskins on the skin and the lipids in the Melp help to keep the skin supple to give a longer life to the product.

Note:
There is a possibility of dye bleeding into the horses hair or other materials from dark or bright colored skin, because of the horses-sweat or use of unsuitable washing detergent.
Strong dyed leather of saddles etc. can also leave discolorations.

Returns are accepted within 21 days of the date of receiving the item. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it with tags still attached. You can return it for an exchange or refund - shipping costs are not refundable.
